Prayer rally for Deputy President William Ruto and Journalist Joshua Sang in the cases facing them at the ICC |
I therefore in this regard use this day to also give my light contribution in what my ears are getting through all social platforms and media entities in Kenya.
Since the move made by the prosecution chamber of the ICC in the case facing the Deputy President William Samoei Ruto and my fellow Radio Journalist Joshua ARAP SANG to use the recanted evidence in their cases, The nation has witnessed a sequence of "prayer meetings" in the name of praying for Mr.Ruto and Mr. Sang.
Prayers are made of total supplication, submission, adoration, repentance, penitence, humility and confession before God.
However, what I am seeing around is what I call increasing the political temperatures in the country and sending out incitement messages to the world.
It should be noted that the two Kenyans are facing charges which include fueling the P.E.V in Kenya in the yr 2007/08. The cases facing the two are legal problems which requires legal procedures to solve them. I believe both Ruto and Sang have a legal team that is defending them at the ICC.
If we continue doing this, the ICC may look at the cases facing our fellow Kenyans as being potential elements with the muscle to incite others whether directly or indirectly, and this may cause a negative implication to them.

I am not in any way against inviting God to intercede in our problems, but how are we doing it?
How about if the victims lawyer at the ICC also marshaled the support of P.E.V victims also to move around a nation under the Jubilee regime whose leaders have been victims and others are!!!
Anyway, the victims would also want justices! They've not healed, they're still fighting for justice. So, can we have a joint prayer meeting for both victims of the violence with the accused perpetrators!!
It's hypocritical to see all these politicians moving around the JAP ajenda in the name of Prayer meetings... Let;s be sober and legally deal with ICC in a legal way.
